Together We Can Restore Our Earth: Earth Day 2021

2020 was one of the most challenging years in history, but with hope in the vaccines and a light at the end of the tunnel, the world can get back to normal. This makes Earth Day 2021 all that more important. As we all regain a little normalcy, we can work together to restore our planet. 

Earth Day 2021: Three Days of Climate Action 

Earth Day is Thursday, April 22, but you can mark April 20-22 on your calendar for three days of climate action. On Tuesday, April 20, there will be the youth climate summit event which will feature discussions, panels, and speeches from some of the top youth activists worldwide. You’ll be able to listen to the likes of Greta Thunberg, Alexandria Villasenor, and Licypriya Kangujam. 

On Wednesday, April 21, Education International will lead “Teach for The Planet: Global Education Summit.” The summit will focus on the importance of the role educators play in fighting climate change.

The three days of climate action culminate on Earth Day, Thursday, April 22. And you can visit earthday.org to watch live virtual events beginning at 12:00 pm EST. Topics will include green technology, natural processes, and innovative thinking that can restore the world’s ecosystems. It’s guaranteed to be a motivating event at a time where our earth needs it the most. 

Take Action 

Watching and learning from these events is enormous, but it’s also essential to take action in your local community. Find an event or organization to sponsor or create your own event. You can find a local event near you here to take action now. 

One of the easiest ways to get involved and protect the climate is by using reusable water bottles.
